The Tracer 9 range is part of Yamaha’s middleweight sports touring motorcycles. It includes the standard Tracer 9, Tracer 9 GT and Tracer 9 GT+. All of these come powered by the famed 890cc, CP3 three-cylinder motor that offers 119bhp at 10,000rpm and 93Nm at 7,000rpm.

However, the highlight of the 2025 Yamaha Tracer 9 is its Matrix LED headlamp- a first in the world of motorcycles. The tech is a matrix of low and high-beam LEDs that are linked to an integrated camera. It can detect traffic, natural light, and weather to adjust brightness and light spread automatically. Yamaha claims that the system would increase rider confidence and ensure other road users are not dazzled by the light.

Moreover, the Tracer 9 range also gets the Y-AMT (Yamaha Automated Manual Transmission) and features like electronic suspension and cruise control. These also come with a 7” TFT display while the GT and GT+ get full smartphone connectivity. In addition to this, there is Blind Spot Detection, an Intelligent braking system with Vehicle Hold Control, an electronically adjustable windscreen, a smart key with central locking, type pressure monitoring system, ride modes and 10-setting heated handlebar grips.
