The motorcycle comes as a replacement for the previous V2 and is also said to replace the Ducati SuperSport. And the folks at Borgo Panigale have ensured it ticks the right boxes by altering nearly every aspect of the previous motorcycle. To begin with, the new Panigale V2 uses the all-new 890cc V-twin that weighs 54.4kg and offers 118bhp at 10,750rpm and 92Nm at 8,250rpm. And for the first time, Ducati is offering an A2/LAMS compliant 47bhp version too.

That said, the motorcycle is also the lightest Panigale ever made with the S version tipping the scales at 176kg while the standard bike tips the scales at 179kg. In comparison, its predecessor weighed close to the 200kg mark.

Not only that, but Ducati has also reworked the heat management with a fresh air ventilation system that directs hot air from the radiator away from the rider’s legs- a boon while riding at slow speeds in the city. All of it also comes from the new, purposeful design that is picked up from the Panigale V4. So the V2 gets sets of creases and lines on its bodywork to help with better airflow.

As for electronics, the Ducati Panigale V2 comes with multiple ride modes, traction control levels, wheelie and engine brake control as well as a bi-directional quickshifter. Adding to that the bike also lists a new TFT screen with Road, Road Pro and Race display layouts. The new V2 uses 43mm Marzocchi forks and a Kayaba monoshock- both adjustable. On the other hand, the S model comes with Ohlins suspension. Both units ride on Diablo Rosso IV tyres from Pirelli and 17-inch wheels. Braking is done by Brembo M50 Monobloc calipers with 320mm discs at the front and a 245mm rear disc.

We expect Ducati to bring in the new Panigale V2 to international markets including Australia and New Zealand by mid-2025.
