2025 Yamaha YZF-R9

The new YZF-R9 was revealed during the 2024 EICMA in Italy equipped with the tried-and-tested 890cc, inline-three engine that also features on the XSR900GP and MT-09. However, the engine sits in the lightest-ever Deltabox, gravity-cast aluminium frame and is surrounded by panels designed to look as sharp as the flagship R1. The Yamaha R9 is a handsome-looking motorcycle with aggressive lines all through. It gets integrated winglets that not only add to the appeal but are functional by generating downforce.

Yamaha has equipped the R9 with fully adjustable KYB forks and monoshock. It sits on 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped with Bridgestone Battlax Hypersport S22F tyres. Meanwhile, braking is done by 320mm twin discs and Brembo Stylema calipers for the front and a 220mm disc at the rear. The bike’s feature list is extensive too. It comes with an IMU-based traction control system, wheelie control, ride modes and cornering ABS as well as a colour TFT screen with connectivity.

The motorcycle is being offered in three colour choices- Team Yamaha Blue, Intensity White with Redline and Matte Raven Black.
