BMW S1000 RR

This new aero update for the flagship sportbike could come in the form of cuts made in the existing fairing. As per the patent, the ducts would negate the need for additional fitment and feature just above the headlights towards the end of the fairing. Moreover, these ducts are termed tear-off edges and are meant to channel the airflow around the rider and reduce drag.

The high pressure would also be channelled from the front duct in the nose of the S1000 RR. That said, the airflow is designed to be channelled at a 90-degree angle and the same intake duct could be added to other bits of the S1000 RR for improved aero as well. With the introduction of this revised aero, BMW Motorrad would aim at improving the bike’s handling and cornering abilities too.

While the revamped aerodynamics seems to be in the early stages, we can expect BMW to introduce it on the S1000 RR by the end of the year, probably at the 2025 EICMA.
