LiveWire S2 Alpinista

The S2 Alpinista’s design doesn’t stray away from the platform. Rather, it uses a new headlight and bar-end mirrors to change its appearance. Underneath, it borrows components from the flat track inspired S2 Del Mar but comes with tweaks to make it better on the road.

One of the few changes are the 17-inch wheels that are wrapped with Dunlop RoadSmart 4 rubber. This not only improves the electric motorcycle’s handling abilities in corners but also drops the seat height by 28mm, Harley Davidson says. Powering the S2 Alpinista is a 10.5kWh lithium battery that comes with a five-year warranty. As for range, the brand claims a 193km range in the city and 114km on the motorway. Now, just like the S2 Del Mar, the Alpinista gets Level 1 and Level 2 charging. These can charge the battery pack from 20-80 per cent in around 6 hours using a standard wall plug or in 78 minutes with a fast charger.

Now, the electric motorcycle claims a 83bhp and a massive 263Nm on tap. That translates to a 0-100kmph in just 3 seconds. That’s quick! And to put a leash on all that torque, LiveWire have added six mapping modes and a number of rider aids that are controlled through a six-axis IMU.

With that said, we can expect Harley-Davidson to launch the new S2 Alpinista in New Zealand and Australia by the end of 2025.
