  • Likely to be launched by end of 2025

This new engine is likely to be an updated version of the 690 Duke’s  690cc single-cylinder LC4 engine. As per the reports, the updated LC4 engine was displayed at the Moto-Austria trade show in early February and is said to offer 79bhp; 1.5bhp more than the Hypermotard 698 Mono.

With this, KTM seemingly wants to snatch back the title of having the most powerful single-cylinder production engine. Moreover, this new engine could also make its way to a Husqvarna model too.

While the reports are fairly new and the engine seems to be in its nascent stage, we can still expect KTM to showcase the production-ready motorcycle by the end of 2025.
