• The smallest Tuareg spotted on test
  • To get a revised 457cc, parallel-twin engine
  • Likely to be launched in NZ sometime in 2025

The motorcycle on test was purpose-built with rally components like a navigation tower, rally-spec suspension, upswept exhaust system and proper off-road tyres. However, the production-spec Tuareg 457 could be toned down to keep costs in check while keeping the ability to ride on road too. Well, we can expect the motorcycle to come with a 21/17-inch spoke wheel combo and dual-sport rubber.

Even the styling is likely to be the same, which has been derived from the Tuareg 660. That said, the Tuareg 457 is expected to offer features like off-road ABS, ride modes and a TFT display to say the least.  And powering the motorcycle is likely to be the same 457cc, twin-cylinder engine that churns out 47bhp and 43Nm and features on the RS457. However, Aprilia could revise the final drive ratio to better suit the motorcycle’s ADV character.

Aprilia is likely to display the Tuareg 457 at the EICMA 2024 and is expected to bring in the motorcycle to NZ and Australia later in 2025.
