- Aprilia Tuono 457 displayed at 2024 EICMA
- Based on RS 457
- Could be launched in NZ and AUS this year
Aprilia’s RS 457 has been getting quite a few praise and accolades since its debut in 2024. Then, at the 2024 EICMA, the Italian brand went on to unveil the Tuono 457 which has now been spotted testing in India- the country where it will be produced.
With the Tuono 457, Aprilia is looking to take the fight to the KTM 390 Duke, Yamaha MT-03 and Honda’s CB300R. Traditionally, Aprilia’s Tuono models take design cues from the RS versions. However, the Tuono 457 is different and styled similarly to older ones. It has half-firing and split LED headlamps with muscular tank shrouds.
The Tuono 457 will be powered by the same 457cc, parallel-twin engine that churns out 46.9bhp and 43.5Nm as the RS 457. It is mated to a six-speed gearbox and gets an assist and slipper clutch. It also gets the same tech and features as the RS that includes a TFT screen with connectivity, ride modes, dual-channel ABS and switchable traction control.
We can expect Aprilia to launch the Tuono 457 in New Zealand and Australia in the second quarter of 2025.
