Av’s Bid at European Women’s Title
Despite two DNFs earlier in the season, Avalon Biddle’s dominance on the track saw the fast Kiwi secure the title with a round to spare. Needless to say her 23rd birthday, which was the following day, was one to remember, as her mum, Bev, flew to Europe to watch the final rounds.
With the pressure off, Biddle is now focussing on the final round and has the luxury of being able to push that bit harder, as she was conscious of the weight of the championship and played it safe for the sake of the end result for not only herself but the team and all those people who support her and made it possible to clinch the first ever European Women’s Cup.
The full story about regular BRM columnist, Avalon Biddle’s European season will be in the next issue of BRM.
