Whites Powersports, Australasia’s fastest-growing motorcycle parts and accessories distributor, recently held an official opening of their impressive new global HQ, with the over 6000m2 purpose-built facility located just outside of Hamilton, New Zealand.
And the building is impressive, incorporating many of the latest warehouse technology advances including electronic picking systems to get goods from the warehouse and out to dealers and customers as fast and efficiently as possible. With Whites supplying dealerships up and down the country as well as having their own online store www.bits4bikes.co.nz, that means when you order one of their products you know it’s going to be heading to you as fast as possible.
Whites Powersports distribute many of the leading motorcycle accessory brands here in NZ including such heavyweights as Bridgestone, Shoei, Oxford, LS2 Helmets and Leatt, as well as their own house brand Whites Motorcycle Parts and many more. And it’s the popularity of these leading brands which has seen the company need to move to bigger premises.
Whites Powersports has seen a meteoric growth since the company’s early beginnings over 70 years ago. With Keith Larkin buying the business in 1994 after an earlier career in motorcycle retail, Whites Powersports soon grew to become one of the largest motorcycle accessory distributors in NZ with a catalogue of quality brands. In 2014, Whites Powersports expanded into the Australian market by purchasing Birdman Accessories in Melbourne and soon started to expand their operation using the same core principles that has seen their huge growth in NZ. That means having fun, having a passion for everything on two wheels, treating everyone with respect, and always learning.
The new global facility is a mightily impressive building, with the 5500m2 warehouse giving the company plenty of room to expand, while the state-of-the-art 850m2 office space features, as you’d expect, plenty of examples of the passion the Whites staff have for motorcycling. With a Ducati 999 parked in a meeting area and a sweet Kawasaki KX500 nestled behind the marketing team, motorcycling is in the blood of everyone who works there.
