CF Moto 450SR gets a new ‘S’ model; more features, higher pricing

  • CF Moto 450 SR S offers more features
  • Priced at $9790; $1000 over the standard version
  • Receives tweaks to the 450cc parallel-twin engine

The CF Moto 450SR was a sporty motorcycle in itself and priced at a decent $8790. Now, the manufacturer has introduced the 450SR S, which pushes the limits of the standard model and demands a $1000 markup for it. Priced at $9790, the CF Moto 450 SR S justifies the extra monies with heaps of new features.

To begin with, the 450SR S sports a single-sided swingarm and an underbelly exhaust exposing the rear wheel. While the design is as aggressive as the regular model, the 450 SR S also gets new winglets and a slightly redesign plate holder. Additionally, it is fitted with 37mm inverted forks with rebound and compression damping adjustability and a dual-piston caliper with a larger 240mm rear disc. The front end continues with a M40 Brembo radial-mount caliper as before. To further aid the CF Moto 450 SR S’ braking abilities, it gets the ABS antiskid control feature like the 450SR.

Other new tech includes a five-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and can be operated via the CF Moto RIDE app. The application offers over-the-air updates, route recording, real-time motorcycle data as well as security and anti-theft functions. That’s not all, CF Moto has also tweaked the 450cc, parallel-twin engine which now offers the 35kW at 9259rpm as against the 10,000rpm for a more responsive throttle. Its peak torque of 39Nm comes in at 7750rpm- the same as before.
