CFMoto introduces new affordable sub-brand CFLite

  • CFLite to have sub-40cc motorcycles
  • Targeted at select global markets
  • Introduced three new bikes

CFMoto had a a trick up its sleeve during the 2025 Makina Moto Expo in Philippines where it announced the launch of its new sub-brand; CFLite.

While it does sound like a low-calorie energy drink, CFLite is the Chinese manufacturer’s budget brand that is positioned to be sold in select global markets. Some of these are Indonesia, Thailand and South America. That said, the brand has also introduced three motorcycles across different segments in its line-up.

CFLite 250SR

To begin with, there is the 250NK Lite that comes with a 249cc, liquid-cooled engine and a design similar to the CFMoto 250NK. It is essentially bare bones and comes with conventional suspension, disc brakes at both ends with 17-inch wheels wrapped in CST rubber. It comes with LED pilot lamps and an LCD instrument cluster. The other bike is the 250SR Lite which is similar in design to the 450SR sold in New Zealand. Like its naked sibling, it comes with a 249cc engine that is capable of 130kmph. While the components are the same, the 250SR also gets LED lighting.

And finally, CFLite has the 230 Dual- which is probably the most important motorcycle in the range. The dual-purpose bike has rugged styling and a do-it-all chassis that appeals to riders exposed to less developed road networks. The 223cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine comes with a carburettor. It rides on 21-inch front and 18-inch rear with dual-purpose tyres. The bike also gets disc brakes at both ends, telescopic forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. Meanwhile, its feature list includes a digital display and halogen headlight.

These bikes are positioned as affordable options to their rivals. That said, it is unlikely for CFMoto to introduce the CFLite brand in Australia and New Zealand and has not included UK and Europe in its plan either, as of now.
