Throughout 2018 a large expansion and redevelopment project will take place at Classic Motorcycle Mecca in Invercargill which aims to transform the existing collection into Australasia’s premier motorcycle museum.
With a large expansion and redevelopment project officially started this month, deconstruction work within existing under-developed floor levels of the multi-story building housing Classic Motorcycle Mecca has begun.
While up to 30 local suppliers work their magic, the work is not expected to interrupt day to day operations at either Classic Motorcycle Mecca or the rather tasty Meccaspresso Cafe, meaning you can still check out Invercargill’s biggest year round motorcycle attraction.
Once the revamp is finished we can expect not only a big change to exhibition space, but also a much broader attraction developed in partnership with Transport World and Wellington based experience design specialists Gibson Group.
The new expansion is expected to open later this year.
