- 2025 Ducati V21L unveiled
- Gets changes to electronics and reduced weight
- To debut on May 10 at French GP
Ducati has updated its MotoE machine- the V21L for 2025. The e-bike is said to be lighter than before with changes to its chassis as well as improving its electronics too.

To begin with is the improved battery pack with an advanced lithium-ion and higher energy density which is now 5Ah compared to 4.2Ah previously. The pack now has 192 lesser cells without compromising on the power output. This has also resulted in a reduction of 8.2kg- a difference of around three to four tenths of a second per lap!. Further, the 2025 Ducati V21L also gets a new rear rim that drops the weight by 600gms, taking the total weight to 216kg. For reference, the older model weighed 225kg.
The 2025 V21L is around 4mm longer too with different steering bushings to improve stability under braking. The swingarm pin has also been revised and is now height-adjustable. Ducati have also tweaked the electronics. Traction control has improved with calibrations possible for each section of a track. And the teams can use three different mappings that can be selected by the rider.

The Ducati V21L is now in its third year of racing and is meant to be a study of alternative tech for the Italian brand. It is helping Ducati improve their battery tech for future road-going motorcycles too.
The motorcycle will make its debut at the French GP on 10 May. And the MotoE Championship will have seven rounds with 14 races in total.
