- Gets carbon fibre components
- Limited to 300 units worldwide
- No changes to its 999cc inline-four engine
Honda has taken the wraps off a special CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP called the Carbon Edition. As the name indicates, the motorcycle is based on the top-spec SP variant and gets carbon fibre bits to set it apart.
Inspired by HRC’s racing initiatives, the Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP is fitted with components that were developed from the brand’s iconic RC213V. So it comes with a carbon front and rear fender, engine guard, winglets, airbox cover and some bits on the fairing. It also gets the HRC logo on the fairing, which is the only dash of colour on the stealth black paint job.
The Carbon Edition, however, gets no changes underneath. It continues with the same 999cc inline-four engine that pushes out over 200bhp. The bike also comes with all the bells and whistles of racing electronics and an Akrapovic exhaust system.
That’s not all that’s special. The Fireblade Carbon Edition is limited to just 300 units worldwide. Will we get it down here in New Zealand? We really hope so!
