So what makes the special edition, special? Well, to begin with, Kawasaki has announced a limited run of just 150 units. Each motorcycle is numbered and customers can choose their preferred number if available. Moreover, it also gets special parts to set it apart from the regular Z900 RS.

There is a ’50 Year of Kawasaki Germany’ logo on the fuel tank with an anniversary numbering and the country’s flag on the handlebar and side panels. Then there is a diamond-pattern seat with golden stitching. The special edition also features a matte black colour with gold-colour anodized aluminium bar ends, radiators panels and heel plates.

Apart from this, the rest of the Kawasaki Z900 RS 50th Anniversary Edition remains the same. It uses a 948cc, inline-four engine with 109bhp and 98.5Nm on tap. It comes with LED lighting, a slipper clutch, traction control and ABS as part of its tech list. Moreover, to keep things retro, the Z900 RS also features a twin-pod analogue instrument cluster with an LCD screen in between.

Buyers of the special Kawasaki Z900 RS will get a limited-edition box with an anniversary book, a framed picture of the motorcycle and a numbered certificate. Unfortunately, though, it is not going to make its way to New Zealand as it is limited for sale in Germany.
