As per the documents, the GT will come with the same 1350cc V-twin as the Super Duke. This means it is 43cc bigger than the previous 1303cc motor. Like the street naked motorcycle, the Super Duke GT also comes with variable valve timing and lift and offers 180bhp at 10,000rpm. Torque output stands at 145Nm at 8000rpm. With the bike already being spied on, we know it will use the 1390 Super Duke’s chassis. However, the type-approval documents reveal there are significant changes to the dimensions of the GT.

So, the 1390 Super Duke GT is 19mm longer than the 1390 Super Duke while the wheelbase is now extended to 1496mm; 5mm longer than before. While the change in wheelbase could be related to a change in the suspension setup, the increase in length is to cope with more load than its naked sibling. Moreover, the top speed has reduced from 270kmph on the Super Duke to 250kmph on the GT, possibly due to a gearing change.

Other differences between the naked and touring models are that the GT is taller, wider and heftier than the Super Duke. As for styling, the 1390 Super Duke GT sports the recognisable silhouette of the previous model. Although, it is now sharper and could come with an adjustable screen. That said, the new GT’s height ranges from 1299mm to 1399mm, suggesting that it could be offered in multiple versions.

The new 1390 Super Duke GT is expected to be launched at the 2024 EICMA in Italy. And it is expected to reach Australia and New Zealand sometime in 2025.
