MiniGP Academy New Zealand have announced the dates for the their next trackday. The event will be held between the 12-13 April at the Tokoroa Kartsport track.
The trackday will include Kayo bikes racing on the 12th and the MiniGP trackday on the 13th. Now, the academy is specifically designed for young kids to start riding and racing. And if you are looking at your kid becoming the next Cormac Buchanan, Marc Marquez or Valentino Rossi, this is the right place to kickstart their riding career. The choice of bikes is the Delirio Evo 10- with the academy having a fleet of five of these full automatic 110cc machines. Considering the size and weight of these bikes are suitable for juniors’ as young as seven years old. And for the ones with slightly more experience, there is the 160cc, four-speed manual bikes.

Interested participants can also attend the event using their own MiniGP machines and riding gear that is approved by the academy. That said, the trackday also serves as a stepping stone to the National MiniGP series that is scheduled for the end of 2025. This would be a five round series over the summer with riders as young as 7.
