- Would use a 1158cc V4 like the Diavel V4
- No word about its global launch timeline
Ducati has released videos on its social networks teasing the unveiling of a new Diavel. Going by the look of these teasers, the motorcycle is expected to be the XDiavel V4 that will be revealed tomorrow, 13 February.
Its been close to a year since the regular Ducati Diavel got upgraded from a 1260cc V-Twin to an 1158cc V4 Granturismo engine. Now, it is its slightly laidback cruiser-style sibling’s chance to get a revamp. The motor would churn out 168bhp like the Diavel. However, its torque figures are yet to be disclosed. This engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox and comes with a two-way quickshifter too.
The XDiavel V4 would also benefit from cosmetic changes that would make its look similar to the Diavel V4. This would include the quad exhaust, newly designed exposed rear wheel and the svelte rear section. It is also likely to get a new orange paint scheme. As for features, we can expect the Ducati XDiavel V4 to come loaded with ride modes, traction control, wheelie control, cornering ABS, launch control, colour TFT and more like the Diavel V4.
We wouldn’t have to wait long for the full details as the motorcycle is set to be unveiled to the world tomorrow. Stay tuned!
