  • 2025 KTM 390 ADV launched overseas
  • Gets heaps of changes and two colour options
  • Could be launched in AUS and NZ soon

KTM has launched the new, 2025 390 Adventure in international markets, even commencing deliveries recently. While there is no word from the manufacturer about its launch timeline in AUS and NZ, we can expect the new 390 Adventure to make its way here by the end of the year.

Now KTM is offering the adventure motorcycle in a choice of two colour options. There is the Electronic Orange and Ceramic White. While the former has a black fuel tank and a white rear section, the latter reverses the colour schemes. Transformation also comes in the form of design with the new model resembling the 790 and 890 Adventure.

With that said, the new KTM 390 Adventure is much different from the outgoing model and has become a more hardcore version. To begin with, it rides on a 21/17-inch tubeless spoke wheel combo unlike the earlier 19/17-inch setup. These are suspended from WP Apex USD forks at the front with 200mm of travel as well as compression and rebound adjustability. For the rear, there is 205mm of travel coming from a monoshock with rebound and preload adjustment. Braking duties are done by a single 320mm disc at the front and a 240mm disc at the rear.

The seat height is also lower at 830mm while the ground clearance has gone up to 227mm. Even the weight has gone up from 177kg to 183kg. Powering the 390 Adventure is a 398.6cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine which makes 45.3bhp and 39Nm. This is an additional 2.4bhp and 2Nm. This unit comes mated to a six-speed gearbox along with a slipper clutch and a quick shifter.

As for features, the 390 Adventure gets cruise control, switchable cornering traction control, cornering ABS, off-road ABS and three ride modes- Street, Rain and Off-road. It also gets a five-inch TFT with Bluetooth connectivity. When it arrives, the KTM 390 Adventure will go up against the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and the CFMoto 450 MT here.
