- Based on 690 Enduro R
- Gets three fuel tanks and a 693cc engine
- Could be launched at the 2025 EICMA
The closest motorcycle to a rally machine you could buy when you walk into a KTM dealership was the 450 Rally Replica- an eye-watering motorcycle with an even eye-watering price. But with just 100 units on sale, even those are out of reach now. There is still hope to get something similar in the form of the upcoming 690 Rally that has been spotted on test recently.

In a rally-style, the KTM 690 Rally aims to bring in hardcore off-road ability to the masses. The motorcycle is based on the existing 690 Enduro R with the same seat, rear section, wheel, and swingarm. The only difference is that the pillion footrests have been revised, indicating that they will also cater to the adventure-touring side of things.
At the front, the 690 Rally is completely different from its enduro counterpart. While the forks, brakes, wheels and fender are the same, the transparent cowl with the stacked, integrated LED headlamp is reminiscent of the super-expensive 450 Rally Replica. Even the side fairing is similar to that of the Rally Replica and the 690 Rally also gets a fuel tank on each side. Apart from this, there is the under seat tank built into the seat as well that can be accessed from the back of the motorcycle.

The exhaust, while being routed like the 690 Enduro R gets a more extensive heat shield and with the header and muffler being the same, we can expect the engine to be in the same state of tune as well. The 690 Rally will get its power from the same 693cc, single-cylinder motor as the 690 Enduro R. It offers 74bhp and is mated to a six-speed gearbox with quick shifter.
KTM is likely to unveil the 690 Rally at the 2025 EICMA by the end of the year. We can expect it to be priced similar to the KTM 690 Enduro R when launched and sit well below the 890 Adventure R. It could then make its way to Australia and New Zealand sometime in 2026.
