New Suzuki GSX-8R limited-edition unveiled!

  • Limited to just 60 units
  • Gets cosmetic changes
  • Only available in select markets

Suzuki has unveiled a limited-edition GSX-8R Kirro for international markets.

To make it special, Suzuki have limited the production of the motorcycle. It is super-exclusive and limited to just 60 units! Now, the GSX-8R is based on the regular model, but comes with a special colour scheme. The bright yellow paint is the reason for the ‘Kiiro’ name. It gets black across the tank, rear section, and front LED headlamp. Complementing the look are the grey wheels and grey aluminium subframe.

Then there is the addition of the Suzuki accessories catalogue. The special edition comes with a single-seat cowl with a two-toned seat with a GSX logo, smoked screen, billet aluminium brake and clutch levers as well as a tank pad.

The rest of the GSX-8R Kirro remains the same. It uses a 776cc, parallel-twin engine that churns out 81.7 bhp. The motor is housed in a steel mainframe and aluminum subframe with suspension from Showa. Its electronics package includes a bi-directional quickshifter, power modes and traction control modes as well. Suzuki has also added a colour TFT screen to the mix.

Braking duties are the same as the standard model too. It includes twin four-piston Nissin calipers at the front with 310mm discs and a single 240mm disc at the rear.

While the Suzuki GSX-8R is available in the Australian and New Zealand markets, the brand is unlikely to introduce the special-edition Kirro here.
