• Teased on Triumph’s social networks
  • Could get feature updates
  • Expected to have the same 1160cc engine

While the teasers only reveal a few elements of the motorcycle, we can expect it to share a design similar to the outgoing model. From the bug-eyed headlamps, muscular fuel tank and petite tail section, the new Speed Triple wouldn’t be far away when it comes to styling. However, we can expect new colours and graphics to add fresher appeal.

Underneath, the new Triumph Speed Triple is unlikely to change much either with the current 1160cc, inline-three engine offering 177.5bhp at 10,750rpm and 125Nm at 9,000rpm. It comes mated to a six-speed gearbox with quickshifter. Even the chassis and components are expected to remain untouched on the new model. It currently rides on 17-inch wheels with a single-sided swingarm at the rear. That said, the top-spec variant could get electronically adjustable suspension.

And as with the current model, the new Triumph Speed Triple 1200 would also come with electronic rider aids like traction control, cornering ABS, and multiple ride modes.

We wouldn’t have to wait long for the full details as the motorcycle is set to be unveiled soon.
