Rare Honda RC213V-S Hits ebay

BRM got to test a Honda RC213V-S at Bruce McLaren Motorsport Park recently.

When literally hundreds of thousands of motorcycles are listed for sale every day worldwide, it takes a lot for a bike to get our attention, but when that bike is one of less than 130 ever made… well then, you have our attention.

Paul was a very happy chappy after his first session on the RC213V-S

The bike in question here is a 2016 Honda RC213V-S, you know the one, it’s the MotoGP bike you could briefly buy for the road from Honda/HRC. In fact, this bike is serial number #007 making it one of the first batch to roll off the assembly line.

We were lucky enough to get to ride on Carl Cox’s bike – Serial #048 – in issue 170 of BRM, and Paul still won’t shut up about it.

Number 007 is listed for sale by UK dealership Craigs Honda for a whopping £219,995 – or a little over $424,000 in our money – and comes with plenty of extras.

Included in the price is the full HRC Race Kit, which increases power, removes the road legal necessities and adds launch control – with the obligatory Indoor Cover, Charger, front and rear display stands and of course both key fobs for the keyless ignition.

While viewing of the very exclusive Honda is by appointment only, the dealership knows that the market for such a bike is a global affair and will happily ship it worldwide.

Oh, and they’ll also take a trade in if your not able to scrape together all $424,000. Though we’re thinking if we traded in the entire BRM fleet we’d still barely make a dent on the asking price.

If you’d rather buy a MotoGP Honda for the road instead of a house (which come on, its less than half the average Auckland house price!) you can see the full listing online here.

Want to know what it’s like to ride one, or just fantasise like the rest of us? Grab a copy of BRM Issue 170 – currently on sale in all good retailers – and read the full test of Carl Cox’s RC213V-S.
