- Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 NZ and AUS launch soon
- Pre-orders open; prices to start from $8,790
- Offered in two variants
The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 is set to be launched in New Zealand and Australia soon. The Indian manufacturer has opened pre-orders for the Himalayan 450-based motorcycle for a refundable $500.
The first shipment of the motorcycle is available on a first-in, first-served basis and can be booked through the Royal Enfield website or at your nearest dealership. Now, the Guerrilla 450 will be priced from $8,790 placing it lower than the Himalayan 450 which starts at $9,190. It will be offered in two variants- Dash and Flash. While Dash is offered in Playa Black, the top-spec Flash gets Yellow Ribbon and Brava Blue paint options.
Powering the Guerrilla 450 is the same 452cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine as in the Himalayan 450. Churning out 39.50bhp at 8,000rpm and 40Nm at 5,500rpm, it is paired with a six-speed gearbox. However, Royal Enfield has re-tuned the gearing to suit the character of the street bike. That said, the Guerrilla also comes with a slightly aggressive riding position compared to its ADV counterpart due to the change in handlebar and peg placement.
The first lot of pre-orders will have their Guerrilla 450 delivered from October 2024. But that’s not it, Royal Enfield is offering the first five lucky customers who pre-order and purchase the motorcycle across New Zealand and Australia an invite to the official launch in Sydney.
