- Scram 440 launched as a replacement
- Used a 411cc motor
- Royal Enfield Scram 440 NZ and AUS launch soon
The Royal Enfield Scram 411 will be taken off the shelves soon. The news comes after the manufacturer recently launched the new Scram 440 in global markets which is expected to arrive in Australia and New Zealand in the next few months.
Now, the Scram 411 is based on the Himalayan 411 that has been discontinued too. It shared the 411cc, single-cylinder motor with 24.3bhp and 32Nm on offer and came with a five-speed gearbox. The Scram 411 comes with minimal bodywork for it to pass as a scrambler-style motorcycle. It even has smaller wheels to fit the character. However, the new Scram 440 takes things a step ahead and comes with a bigger engine and a six-speed gearbox. It is also offered with an option of wire-spoke wheels and tube-type tyres pr alloy wheels with tubeless tyres.
Well, in international markets, there is only a slight difference in pricing between the Scram 411 and Scram 440. That is also likely to happen in New Zealand and Australia when the new Scram 440 is launched here.
