The Speed Twin 1200 gets slight upgrades to its chassis and also comes with Marzochhi-sourced units for the front and rear. Then, there is the new tech on both models that includes Optimised Cornering ABS and traction control. And along with the Road and Rain modes, the top-spec Speed 1200 RS also gets a Sport mode that is said to sharpen the throttle response. Now, both models get an extra 5bhp of power from 1200cc parallel-twin engine that now offers 105bhp and retains the 112Nm.

Triumph has also tweaked the styling a bit with changes to the side panels, heel guards and headlamp bezel now with revamped LED lighting. The 2025 bikes also come with new LCD and TFT displays, turn-by-turn navigation, phone connectivity and USB Type-C charging as standard. These are most of what’s similar on the Speed Twin 1200 and Speed Twin 1200 RS.

The Speed Twin 1200 comes in two, split colour options- Carnival Red or Crustal White both with a Sapphire Black lower on the tank. You could also have the Aluminum Silver option with the discreet ‘1200’ and black stripes. On the other hand, the RS gets Baja Orange or Sapphire Black with RS decals in gold.

As always, Triumph has taken the RS model a step further. It gets sportier ergonomics, fully-adjustable Marzochhi forks and Ohlins rear suspension and Brembo Stylema calipers. It rides on Metzler Racetec RR K3 tyres as standard. That said, the Speed Twin 1200 RS is also the first motorcycle in the Bonneville range to get an up-and-down quickshifter.

Triumph is set to launch the Speed Twin 1200 in New Zealand in December 2024 with the Speed Twin 1200 RS to make its way here early in 2025.
