Triumph Rocket 3 Evel Knievel

The Triumph Rocket 3 Evel Knievel limited-editions are visually different from the standard motorcycles. They are adorned with white paint and graphics that resemble Knievel’s jumpsuit. Chrome is the choice for the fuel tank that is further beautified with black stripes and stars alongside the Triumph logo. Moreover, to ensure authenticity, Triumph have fitted the motorcycles with a special start-up screen animation and a gold laser-etched cam cover plate with Evel Knievel’s signature logo. In addition to that, customers would also get a hardback book that narrates the story of the stuntman and the Triumph models he used to perform his mind-boggling stunts.

Well, Triumph has kept the engine and features the same as the standard Rocket 3R and GT. Both are only slightly different with the R getting roadster attributes and the GT being more of a cruiser. The GT also gets a taller flyscreen, a pillion grab rail and slightly forward-set footpegs than the R. Powering the Triumph Rocket 3 is a mammoth 2500cc, three-cylinder engine that pumps out 165bhp and an insane 221Nm of torque.

With the motorcycles expected to be launched in the US soon, we can expect Triumph to launch the limited-edition motorcycles in New Zealand sometime this year.
